An ATM card is for use at an ATM (Automated Teller Machine) only. It allows you to make withdrawals from your account, make transfers, view balances and at select machines, make deposits.

A debit card is two cards in one: In addition to allowing the card owner to use it at ATMs, it can be used to make purchases at retailers, such as gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants, on the internet and more. A debit card is funded through the owner’s checking account. All funds used for purchases are withdrawn directly from this account. Although the card bears the MasterCard logo, it is not a credit card.
